University of Lagos (UNILAG) Part-Time Degree Admission Form for 2020/2021 Academic Session [ICE] | UNILAG Part-time Admission 2020/2021

UNILAG Part-time Admission 2020/2021 – The body of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) is now purchasing the forms for admission into her Part-time Degree Programmes for the 2020/2021 academic session.

The Institute of Continuing Education in conjunction with the Faculties of Arts, Management Sciences and Social Sciences is now inviting applications from qualified applicants for admission into it various B.A/B.Sc. degree programmes for the 2020/2021 academic session.

Notice:

  • The application will be of two (2) stages: JAMB and ICE (Sandwich) UNILAG.
  • After the application forms is been completed, applicants are to submit on or before30th September 2020.
  •  No UTME examination for the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) UNILAG applicants will be conducted.
  • Part-time Programmes run in the evening.
  • Applicants who possess five (5) ‘O’Level credits in suitable subjects also with English Language and Mathematics at not more than TWO sittings are eligible to enrol.

1. DEPARTMENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROGRAMMES IN THE FACULTY OF ARTS

A. CREATIVE ARTS

  • Music: English, Mathematics and any other three subjects
  • Theatre Arts: English, Mathematics, Literature-in-English and any other two subjects
  • Visual Arts: English, Mathematics, Fine Art or Applied Arts or Literature-in-English and any other two subjects.
  • Direct Entry for Music: Diploma from Musical Society of Nigeria, Diploma from Trinity College London/or MUSSON Centre with grade 1,2,3,4,5 and 6

 

B. EUROPEAN LANGUAGES & INTEGRATION STUDIES

5 ‘O’ Level credits including English, Mathematics, and three Arts subjects.

C. ENGLISH
5 ‘O’ Level credits including English, Mathematics, Literature, one Arts subject and one Arts or Social Science subject.

D. HISTORY & STRATEGIC STUDIES
5 ‘O’ Level credits including English, Mathematics, History or Government, one Arts, and any other subject.

E. LINGUISTICS, AFRICAN & ASIAN STUDIES
5 ‘O’ Level credits including English, Mathematics, Yoruba/Igbo and two other subjects.

F. PHILOSOPHY
5 ‘O’ Level credits including English, Mathematics, one Arts subject (Government is regarded as an Arts subject) and two other subjects.
Following Arts, Subjects are acceptable: History, Literature, French, CRS/IRS, Civic Education, and any Nigerian Language.

G. RELIGIOUS STUDIES (CRS)

  • Christian Religious Studies:
    • 5 ‘O’ Level credits including English, Mathematics, CRS, and two other subjects
  • Islamic Studies (ISS)
    • 5 ‘O’ Level credits including English, Mathematics, Arabic//IRS and two other subjects

 

2. DEPARTMENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROGRAMMES IN THE FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES

  • 5 Year Programme
    Five (5) credits in O’ Level subjects in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Financial Accounting, Data Processing, CRS/IRS, Further Mathematics, Geography, Government, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Commerce, Civic Education, and Insurance obtained and the sittings should not exceed more than two sittings.
  • 4 Year Programme
    OND in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, and other related areas obtained from accredited Polytechnics and Monotechnics recognized by the Senate of the University of Lagos together with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 and above on a 5 point scale; and also meet up with the requirements in (a) above. JUPEB/GCE (A’Level) or Cambridge Examination or equivalent with better passes in Mathematics and any two (2) subjects from the following subjects: Financial Accounting, Further Mathematics, Geography, Government, Biology, Economics, Chemistry, Physics, Commerce, and Business Studies. University of Lagos Foundation Programme Diploma together with a minimum of 2.00 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
  • 3 Year Programme
    Higher National Diploma (HND) in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, and other related areas enrolled from accredited Polytechnics and Monotechnics recognized by the Senate of the University of Lagos along with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 and also above on a 5 point scale; and also meet up the requirements in (a) above.

B. INSURANCE

  • 5 Year Programme
    Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Financial Accounting, Data Processing, CRS/IRS, Further Mathematics, Geography, Government, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Commerce, Civic Education, and Insurance obtained and the sittings should not exceed more than two sittings.
  • 4 Year Programme
    National Diploma (OND) in Insurance, Business Administration, Business Studies, Finance, Accounting, Economics and other related areas obtained from accredited Polytechnics and Monotechnics accredited by the Senate of the University of Lagos with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 and also above on a 5 point scale; and also meet up the requirements in (a) above.
  • 3 Year Programme
    HND in Insurance, Business Administration, Business Studies, Finance, Accounting, Economics, and other related areas enrolled from accredited Polytechnics and Monotechnics at credit pass with a 2-year Post HND professional experience. Applicants must compare satisfy the needs in (a) above.’

 

2. DEPARTMENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROGRAMMES IN THE FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES

A. MASS COMMUNICATION

  • 5 Year Programme
    Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits along with including English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English, and two (2) other subjects enrolled and the sittings should not exceed more than two sittings.
  • 4 Year Programme
    Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos or other accredited Universities accredited by the Senate of the University of Lagos with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.00 and higher on a 5 point scale. Applicants must also meet up with the ‘O’ Level requirements in paragraph 3.
  • 3 Year Programme
    HND in Mass Communication from accredited Polytechnics and Monotechnics with a minimum of lower credit and 2- years Post HND experience. Applicants must be registered members of well known Regulatory Agencies and or Professional Bodies such as APCON, NIPR, NUJ, etc, and must get the ’O’ Level requirements in paragraph 3.

B. SOCIAL WORK

  • 5 Year Programme
    Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, and in two subjects such as Economics, Government, Civic Education/Social Studies or Geography and one Arts subject such as Literature-in- English, CRS/IRK, Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa or History at not more than two sittings.
  • 4 Year Programme
    Diploma in Social Development and Administration (SDA) from the University of Lagos or Foundation Programme of the University of Lagos, or Diploma from other accredited Universities recognized by the Senate of the University of Lagos with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 1.5 and above. Candidates must fulfilled the ‘O’ Level requirements in paragraph 3.

C. SOCIOLOGY

  • 5 Year Programme
    Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, and in two subjects such as Economics, Government, Civic Education/Social Studies or Geography and one Arts subject such as Literature-in- English, CRS/IRK, Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa or History and the sittings should not exceed more than two sittings.
  • 4 Year Programme
    Diploma in Social Development and Administration (SDA) from the University of Lagos or Foundation Programme of the University of Lagos or Diploma from other accredited Universities well know by the Senate of the University of Lagos along with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 1.5 and above. Candidates must meet the ‘O’ Level requirements in paragraph 3.

 

How to Apply for UNILAG Part-Time Form |UNILAG Part-time Admission 2020/2021

Procedure 1:

  • Log on to JAMB CAPS website and get your registration started.
  • You will need to pay a sum of N3,500 to make sure you enrol a JAMB registration number, this is likely to be done in a  JAMB approved CBT centres.

Second step:

  • Go to  UNILAG application portal applications.unilag.edu.ng or click on HERE.

Procedure 2: Tap on “Start Fresh Application” or click on HERE

Procedure 3: Tap on ICE as application type, then input your Surname, First Name, Middle Name, JAMB Registration Number, Mobile Phone Number, and E-mail Address.

Procedure 4: Tap on “Pay Now” to make a payment online processing fee of N11, 500 (Eleven Thousand Five Hundred Naira only OR you can print out the payment advice along with the Remita Number to ensure the payment at any Bank along with the University of Lagos.

Procedure 5: Go back to the application portal applications.unilag.edu.ng or click on HERE, when you are done with payment, tap on “continue application” or click on HERE, input your payment reference number and your surname in lower case as your password.

Procedure 6: Finish the entire information needed and upload the important documents.

Procedure 7: Finish the application form, then submit online and print two copies. Applicants can keep their application form for they can edit it later.

 

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS AND ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

Completed application form of applicants must be submitted online and a hard copy of the finished forms in color print must be submitted to the Faculties of Arts Programme Office Room 634, Management Sciences in the Departments of Actuarial Science and Insurance and Social Sciences in the Departments of Mass Communication, Social Work and Sociology Offices.
