2020 WAEC GCE Registration – WAEC GCE form is now out for sale. Bodies of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) have stated that registration for the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, Second Series (January/February), will start on June 10, 2020. This article gives the entire information you need to know to fully on how to register for the 2020 WAEC GCE.

Deadline of registration for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2020-Second Series examination has been said to be moved on to Friday, August 28, 2020.

 

Applicants who want to sit for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2020, here is now the Second Series that is been informed to the general that the registration will commence on 10th June 2020.

WASSCE for Private Candidates 2020 which is known as the Second Series will be an urban-based examination. THIRTY-SIX (36) subjects would be present for the Examination. Along with candidates who are sitting for the examination are, therefore, strongly advised to go to the Council’s corporate website– www.waecnigeria.org- to make sure the confirm the available examination towns and subjects before enrolling for the registration PIN.

Applicants must ensure that the 2020 WAEC GCE registration instructions have been created to occupy biometric features that will be used for validation at the examination centres.

 

WAEC GCE Registration Time.

WAEC GCE registration period begins from June 10th, 2020 and end on August 28, 2020.

 

How to Apply for 2020 GCE.

Applicants that are expected to make payment for the registration fee of Thirteen Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty Naira (N13,950) only, at branches of the following banks or any accredited agent and that are enrolling for the Registration PIN and Information VCD:

  • Access Bank Plc;
  • First Bank of Nig. Ltd;
  • Sterling Bank Plc
  • Zenith Bank Plc;
  • Diamond Bank Plc;
  • First City Monument Bank Plc;
  • Skye Bank Plc;
  • Union Bank of Nigeria Plc;
  • Ecobank Ltd;
  • Guaranty Trust Bank Plc;
  • Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc;
  • United Bank for Africa Plc;
  • Fidelity Bank Plc;
  • Heritage Bank Plc;
  • Standard Chartered Bank Plc;
  • Unity Bank Plc;
  • WEMA Bank Plc.

Also, Applicants will need to make payment of Five Hundred Naira (N500.00) commission to the banks/accredited agents.

 

When you done enrolling for the Registration PIN, applicants must log on to https://registration.waecdirect.org/  or click on HERE for registration.

APPLICANTS WITH SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Applicants along with special needs will also register online just like other applicants but they should dearly state their disabilities such as blind, low vision, spastic, speech, etc.

 

CONCLUSION OF REGISTRATION: Applicants should complete registration within two weeks of first access to the website by the registration period. Applicant must ensure that their names, gender, passport photographs, dates of birth and subjects are exactly the same as their been give to them since birth and with no omission of names. Applicant must print the Admission Notice/Photo Card as proof of successful registration that will stand as identification at the time of examination. Result Checker PIN will also be shown on the Photo Card. Digital Personal Scanner should be used only for fingerprint registration.

WHAT APPLICANT SHOULD KNOW ABOUT

  • Applicants must show the Information VCD before they enrol for the examination.
  • Applicants must take caution that registration fee is not refundable no matter who you are.
  • Applicants must print the examination Timetable at the conclusion of their registration.
  • Applicants must upload their good quality passport size photographs, it should not be anyhow photographed. Background of such photographs SHOULD NOT BE BLUE OR RED. Size must be 275 by 314 pixels. Applicants with unacceptable passport photographs will be rejected.
  • Applicants must make sure they study the Regulations and Syllabuses along with the Timetable for the examination that they can download through WAEC website (http://www.waeconline.org.ng/) through the use of the Registration PIN.
  • Applicants must go to examination halls in the school uniform. Anyhow uniform of any kind won’t be allowed to go into the examination halls.
  • Applicants whole result who is to sit for the examination that is more than one centre will be cancelled or terminated.
  • Applicants should not Smoke in the examination hall.
  • Applicants that arrives into the examination hall along with mobile phone(s) and /or electronic gadget(s) will have his/her entire results cancelled.
  • Applicants should make sure that their entries are correctly concluded before uploading as the Council will not be held responsible for any errors in candidates’ particulars. Also, request for correction will NOT BE attended to on any information that a candidate voluntarily gives at the point of registration as soon as the examination begins.
  • Applicants must arrive into the examination hall along with their original Photo Cards.
  • Applicants who are cut in the act of examination malpractice will not only have their results cancelled but will also be prosecuted.
  • Applicants must ensure they render valid email address and telephone number (s) when enrolling for the WAEC (GCE).
  • Applicants must be prepared to follow all COVID-19 rules.
